The Global Academy
At Global, we believe in training the next generation of young talent to work in the creative industries.
We created the Global Academy to prepare students for careers in the broadcast and digital media industry, offering academic and vocational training.
The Global Academy provides an education for 14-18 year olds. Alongside their GCSEs or A Levels, Global Academy students learn the hands-on skills needed to work in the broadcast and digital media industry, working towards Ofqual-approved diplomas in broadcast and digital media from the Global Academy’s university sponsor, University of the Arts London, and other awarding bodies.
Students at the Global Academy learn practically, working on projects across a range of media such as Radio, TV & Film, Web, Apps and online development. At the core of this hands-on curriculum are the principles of entrepreneurship and enterprise, enabling students to learn the employment skills they will need to have a successful career in the future.
The Global Academy is a state school funded by the Department for Education. It's located in Hayes, Middlesex and opened in September 2016.
